Lyla has married into Graham’s family and they are TWISTED. For funsies, they invite self-made women to live in their guesthouse and then they absolutely destroy them. Somewhat genre-bending, this reads like a thriller but is ultimately a satire. I deducted points because the ending felt a little off…slightly confusing maybe? When the twists typical of a thriller exist but aren’t really the point, the ending (which is meant to delve into human nature) needs to pack a major psychological punch.
